FAQs

  • Click “Sign Up” and you will be directed to our class management website. First set up an account by locating the “Need an account?” message in the upper right corner and clicking the “Click Here” button. Once you have set up your account and logged in, select the “Store” tab and choose a class package or single drop in to purchase. Then click on the “Classes” tab on the same website to select a class you’d like to sign up for. We appreciate it if you can sign up for classes in advance—anytime up until the time of the class is fine but the sooner the better to reserve your spot.

  • You may cancel out of class any time before the class starts by logging in to studio bookings (you can click the Sign Up/Sign In button in the upper right corner of our website or at the bottom of the menu on mobile devices). Then navigate to the tab on the right: with a clock icon on a device or “My Schedule” on a laptop. You will see a list of “My Upcoming Classes.” You may need to scroll to the right; then click the red cancel button on the class you would like to cancel out of. If you have a class card or drop in, the system will credit back your class if it is more than an hour before the start time. If it is already less than an hour before class or after class has started, you will need to contact us if you have an extenuating circumstance and wish to request a credit back on to your card. (but do go ahead and cancel out even if it is less than an hour before so that the spot will open up for someone else).

  • Navigate to your account schedule on our booking system. It is the same place where you go to sign up for classes—and then click on the Schedule or clock icon (depending if you are on a laptop or phone). Scroll down beyond “MY UPCOMING CLASSES” to the “CLASS PASS BALANCE AND PURCHASE HISTORY” section, which will show the balance left on your pass(es).

  • To book a session for Craniosacral Therapy, Hypnotherapy, or Private Yoga Instruction, either choose from our calendar of pre-blocked sessions, or contact the therapist directly to set up a custom time slot.

  • You can purchase gift certificates for 4 class, 8 class, and monthly unlimited passes, or for a certain dollar amount if you prefer. Or for a special gift, you could purchase a one hour private yoga session. You can purchase 2 different ways:

FOR MEMBERS: Via our booking website if you’re a member. Scroll all the way down to find gift certificates.

FOR ANYONE: Via our website store.

After you purchase the certificate, you can contact us or we will contact you to relay delivery instructions. In either case, we can convey the gift in one of the following ways:

    • provide you with a promo code to pass on to your recipient

    • provide you with a digital or physical Gift Certificate (with promo code) to give or send to your friend or family member

    • if you provide the email address of the recipient, we can add the package directly to the their account in our booking system—adding a new account if it is a new member (with a welcome email sent to them to sign in)

  • If you are not comfortable setting up your own account, please reach out to us and we can help you get signed up in the system.

  • This is probably because when you sign up for the first time, we automatically credit your account with one free class! So enjoy! And then next time you sign up for a class, it will ask you to choose a package or drop in to purchase. Or you can go to the Store tab and choose a package from there.

  • First go to the store tab in our booking system. On a laptop, you will see a shopping cart icon and the word “store”. On a mobile device, you will just see the shopping cart icon. Find the item you wish to purchase and click the “Buy” button. Once in the “Confirm Purchase” page, enter the appropriate promo code in the “Promocode” field on the line item that the promo code applies to. On a mobile device, you may need to scroll to the right to see it. The most important thing is to then click the blue “Apply” button. On a mobile device, the “Apply” button may have the word “Apply” cut off and you may only be able to see a little blue box. Click that to apply the discount and make sure you see the discount applied—the discount amount should be in a field labeled “Discount” and the total should be reduced by the discount amount. Verify all of this before clicking the “Proceed to payment” button.

  • Restorative Yoga, is meant to restore and rejuvenate the nervous system via a set of long-held relaxing poses supported by plenty of props. Yin Yoga, on the other hand, while also involving long-held, simple poses, is meant to build in resilience to connective tissues by placing a gentle load onto to them via stretches created from the poses.

  • We offer a quarterly Intro to Yoga Series, which we recommend for brand new students, or even those coming back to yoga or just wanting to deepen their practice. In the meantime, if you’re new to yoga or it’s been awhile since you’ve been practicing regularly, you may want to gravitate towards the hatha based or Slow Flow classes. These will move more slowly through poses and allow you time to hold and explore alignment in each pose, helping you build in the right muscle memory. Yoga Fundamentals or Slow Flow are your friends while you’re getting up to speed with your yoga practice—both technique-wise and to be gentle on your body. Gentle Yoga and Unwind Yoga are also a gentler alternatives, with more intense stretching in Unwind, though. After you feel comfortable with these options, perhaps try a few Hatha or Essential Flow classes. Restorative is appropriate for everyone and don’t be shy about trying out the Gentle Chair classes—they are for anyone to try, regardless of age or ability.

  • Yes, most classes are limited to 10 people. Chair yoga is limited to 8 and Yoga Nidra and Sound Bath are limited to 12.

  • The same way you sign up for any other class. Just select it from the schedule and use your regular class pass, card, or drop in class.

  • We offer the following Healing Arts modalities. Learn more here.

  • Despite the name of the class, we do not spend the whole class time sitting in a chair. The chair is simply used as another prop, like a block or bolster, to augment our yoga practice and make it accessible to more people. In a typical class, we spend the first 5-10 minutes warming up while seated in the chair (what we might normally do on the ground in our other classes) Then we get up and go through a vinyasa sequence using the chair up against the wall to bring our hands to for plank and downward dog—this method is easier on the wrists and shoulders because the legs are bearing more of the body weight. After vinyasa, we’ll spend some time with standing poses without the chair, then usually a balance pose, sometimes using the chair for support. Then we come down to the floor for seated, prone, and supine poses before settling in to savasana. It is a full yoga class just like any other we offer—just a bit shorter (45 minutes) and more accessible to a wider variety of abilities. Even if you’re able to come to our other, more vigorous classes, Gentle Chair can be a nice addition to your yoga week when you’re feeling like a gentler practice or feel a little low on energy but don’t want to skip yoga altogether. • Sound Bath offers a unique opportunity for you to rest and recharge in savasana while being bathed in the soothing vibrations of crystal bowls and melodic vocalizations.

  • Yoga Nidra is a guided savasana meditation that takes you on a transformative journey, leading you to a state of therapeutic yogic sleep. Embark on this enchanting experience, where intentions are set, healing takes place, and rejuvenation blossoms.Yoga Nidra gently escorts you into a hypnagogic state—a twilight zone between wakefulness and slumber. As you lie comfortably on your mat, an experienced guide will lead you through a series of verbal cues and imagery, inviting your body, mind, and spirit to unwind. Drifting into this profound state of relaxation, you will tap into the boundless potential of your subconscious mind.

  • It will be very helpful if you can get used to using the online system to manage your passes and class sign ups. If you do not have the ability to get it set up yourself, don’t despair! We will help you get set up in the studio.

  • We understand that navigating online systems is not everyone’s cup of tea. If you would rather not navigate the waters of online purchasing, we can help by adding your credit or debit card to your account and then whenever you need to purchase a new pass, you can request us (in person or via email) to make a purchase for you. If you have a strong preference not to use a credit or debit card, we can take a check—just let us know what you’d like to purchase and provide us the check in person.

And remember we have online classes almost every day if you end up having to quarantine.
